I purchased a lot of stuff on Etsy for my wedding, but didn’t really discover the endless joy of shopping small until a couple years later when I was up in the middle of the night, breastfeeding a newborn. Those wee-hour Instagram scrolling sessions turned quickly into shopping opportunities. Who knew?
In the two years since becoming a mom, I’ve discovered that many of these small businesses you can find online are owned and run by other moms. I love how the items they offer work so well for my lifestyle. Gone are the days of my college-era message tees (pretty sure my own mom burned my “You Can Call Me Blondie” shirt about ten years ago!), but I love a great tee that shares a unifying mom message. Don’t we all?
That’s why these mamas-turned-designers have totally won me over with their unique tees. Plus, when you purchase something from a small shop instead of a department store, you’re supporting a family — and a dream — not a corporation, making each piece even better and more beautiful.
