#5. I don't feel like myself, so I can't be expected to act like myself.
By saying, "I understand," you're minimizing the struggle I have as a mother. Struggle you do not "understand" because you've never been through it yourself.
You guys, I nearly lose my mind when he says #5.
Sure "it takes a village", but even my own parents don't seem to want to be part of the village. It's so frustrating!
The next time he whines, I’m going to suggest that he take care of the kids by himself for a bit.
