Kourtney Kardashian shares the experience of opening her latest store in NYC and talks about the possibility of moving there.
With the opening of the new DASH store in NYC and adding in that Kourtney's boyfriend, Scott Disick, is a New York native, she shares that a move to the Big Apple is on the table: "We keep going back and forth. Scott has had a place in New York since he was born, so we go there a lot. Now that we have a store in New York, we have a reason to go back. I'd love to be bicoastal."
The "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" star shared that opening their latest boutique had a unique set of challenges: "It was so hard to find the location; rents are so high. There was definitely more pressure to have great merchandise. There's just a different consumer. Miami is flip flops and jean shorts. In New York, it's all about fashion. Our store was three times the size, so we had to order more merchandise. In New York, after the second day we had to order another cash register and it was harder to find employees. I thought Kim wouldn't have been as helpful in New York, but she was."
I remember reading that when they opened the doors to their new store they couldn't stock merchandise fast enough – it was just flying out of there! That's a problem any new business wouldn't mind having.
