Dove Promotes Powerful Beauty Campaign

In a powerful ad campaign, Dove challenges women to rethink their self-perceptions.  According to Dove, only 4% of women around the world describe themselves as beautiful. In an effort to change this, Dove launched a remarkable campaign to give women a fresh perspective. If you've ever wondered if you see yourself accurately—if the face you see in the mirror is the same others, check out this amazing video.

A group of women were selected to describe their physical selves to an FBI-trained sketch artist who drew their faces using their descriptions as a guide. Next, a third party was asked to describe the subjects who were redrawn by the sketch artist using that description. When the drawings were compared, the result was obvious: the way women see themselves is often less beautiful than they appear to the rest of the world.
